> Heart of Thorns: Il Revenant e Ventari

Niente nuova Spec. questa settimana, lo Staff Arenanet rappresentato da Roy Cronacher ha decisto stavolta di illustarci una nuova Leggenda, Ventari, nonchè la Staffa entrambi applicati alla classe del Revenant

Breve sunto per i meno informati: le Leggende sono degli avatar che il Rev. può evocare, attingendo alle corrispettive skills della creatura in questione; sono legati al Lore di GW e indicativamente ciò che *erano* in passato rispecchia ciò che permetteranno di fare al Revenant.

In passato abbiamo già toccato l’argomento Leggende, nello specifico ci vennero illustrati Mallyx e Jalis (Condition e Tank): stavolta tocca a Ventari, ovvero la Leggenda che permetterà al Rev. di speccasi Healer/Supporto

NON E’ UN’ARMA DA CORPO A CORPO…

Questo è quello che tutti facilmente penserebbero: GW2 non ci ha certo abituati all’uso dei bastoni in melee ma, nel caso del Rev., come il Martello è divenuto un’arma dalla distanza allo stesso modo la Staffa diverrà un’arma da corpo a corpo.

Promettendo un misto di movenze marziali e magia, la Staffa sarà lo strumento attraverso il quale il revenant esplicherà la funzione della Leggenda che ci viene illustrata oggi.

Come accennavo, la deriva healer prerogativa della Staffa e di Ventari sarà evidente a livello di gameplay: i vostri attacchi supporteranno il vostro team piuttosto che essere focalizzati sul mero danno…a seguire un esempio di 2 delle abilità utilizzabili, non le traduco perchè in game ve le trovate così quindi penso sia più chiaro lasciarle come sono;

Rejuvenating Assault

“Cleave foes around you with your staff, creating healing orbs for you and your allies.”

This skill is the third part of the autoattack chain. When you strike foes with this skill, shards of energy will fly off onto the ground around the target. You or your allies can walk over these for a small amount of healing. This encourages strafing around your target to pick up the orbs as you attack, and it creates more interaction between you and your allies. We wanted to promote healing through offense rather than as a passive effect.

Surge of the Mists

“Charge forward, knocking back enemies that cross your path.”

When you use this skill, you’ll charge forward with your staff, repeatedly knocking back foes along your path and either thrusting them out of the way or pushing them along with you. This control skill is a Ventari-approved way to separate enemies from your injured allies.

I CAN OUTRUN A CENTAUR*

La scelta di Ventari come Leggenda del Rev. è più che chiara: oltre ad essere fortemente legato al Lore di GW, è semplice abbinare un personaggio pacifico come Ventari ad un set di abilità che propendesse al supporto/cura degli alleati…healing e supporto che non saranno come ce li aspettiamo e come già presente in altre classi (aoe, pulsing ecc.) ma che funzioneranno ed interagiranno tra loro in una maniera totalmente diversa dalla solita.

Prerogativa di Ventari sarà il permettere al Rev l’uso del *Tablet*…andiamo a vedere come funzionerà nello specifico.

Quando il Revenant invocherà Ventari, avrete una sola skill ovvero quella che vi permetterà di evocare il Tablet; usandola, si materializzerà in game vicino al vostro personaggio.

Dopo esser spawnato, il Tablet vi permetterà di usare tutte le atre abilità legate alla Leggenda evocata; da menzionare che una volta spawnato il Tablet può anche venir meno se ci allontaneremo troppo dal punto in cui si è manifestato in game (si suppone quindi che sia fisso o comunque abbia un movimento limitato o subordinato all’uso di particolari skills) oppure usando l’Elite Skill che lo sovraccaricherà e lo farà scomparire.

A seguire le skills che potremo utilizzare dopo lo spawn del Tablet;

Ventari’s Will

“Will the tablet toward the target location. As the tablet moves, it will heal allies it passes through.”

This is a core skill of the legend since the other skills are based around commanding the tablet to do something. Because the tablet heals allies it passes through, the revenant will need to strategically coordinate with other players to get the most out of each movement.

Protective Solace

“Summon a protective barrier around the tablet that destroys enemy projectiles.”

This skill creates a barrier of natural energy around the tablet. While this barrier is active, it will destroy all projectiles that come into contact with it. This is the upkeep skill for the legend, so you can toggle it on or off at the cost of rapidly depleting your energy bar. The tablet can be moved while the barrier is active.

Energy Expulsion

“Force energy to erupt from the tablet, knocking back foes and leaving behind energy fragments that heal allies.”

This is the elite skill, which I briefly touched on before. It will send a surge of energy through the tablet, dismissing it. Foes will be knocked back by the energy forced through the tablet, so you can use it at opportune times to interrupt key skills or even knock enemies away from a downed ally. Energy fragments are left around the area as well, and allies will be able to walk over these fragments to receive healing, similar to the staff skill Rejuvenating Assault.

Ovviamente tutto ciò che ruota attorno al Revenant, le Leggende che utilizzerà e la sua Spec verrà svelato in futuro quindi torneremo dolorosamente sull’argomento.
